We’re proud of our 5 star reviews

The personal injury compensation process

vbr Lawyers is a team of compensation lawyers that are proud to be a little bit different. We’ve built a reputation for winning bigger compensation claims with lower fees.

Talk with a lawyer

The first step is an initial conversation with one of our compensation lawyers. These conversations generally take around 30 minutes (but we don’t put a time limit on them). Here, we’ll learn all about your claim and what steps you’ve taken so far.

Get a letter of advice

Following that initial conversation, we’ll send you a letter of advice. You’ll get this within three days or so, and the letter will aim to offer you specific advice in a way that’s simple to understand. If you haven’t already, the first step will be to seek medical advice and begin keeping a record of your medical expenses.

Start the process

As soon as you’re ready to go ahead, one of our personal injury lawyers will start your claim. This always starts with notifying the relevant parties and hitting the ground running by collating the necessary information and evidence.

Our personal injury lawyers are a little bit different

At vbr Lawyers, we’re proud to say we’re different to the rest.

Win more for less

We work hard to win the maximum compensation claim for you, with lower legal fees.

No win, no fee

We’re here to take the risk out of your claim — so we won’t charge you unless or until we win.

Always deal with a senior lawyer

We won’t leave you with a junior lawyer or a paralegal. You’ll always deal with a senior lawyer experienced in personal injury law.

Work with an award-winning firm

Our compensation lawyers are award-winning. You’ll see why when you team up with our law firm.

A compassionate approach

We know personal injury claims can be overwhelming. Our lawyers are compassionate throughout the legal process.

The opposite of the big firms

Our law firm is different to the big firms. You’re more than a number, and you’ll notice it in our personal approach.

It’s No Win, No Fee

Our No Win, No Fee policy means you don’t pay for our legal services until we win compensation for you. There’s a lot of financial pressure throughout the process of a compensation claim as you navigate medical expenses and time off work. No Win, No Fee takes the financial pressure out of this already stressful period and gives you security to pursue your claim. If we don’t win, then you don’t pay. If we do win, then you will pay a portion of the claim to us.

This policy allows you to seek compensation for your dust disease or illness without additional financial stress. It’s how we can support you to seek the compensation you deserve without an additional financial burden.

Our low fee model

In our law firm, we want to make sure you take home a bigger slice of your compensation claim. It’s why we work on a low fee model. If you’re claiming compensation, we want you to be able to use that compensation to get your life back on track — not just to repay legal fees.

We charge less

Our legal fees are 20 to 40% lower than what the big firms charge. Along with that, we don’t charge an uplift fee (an additional charge for risky claims). We cap our legal fees (excluding refunds and expenses) so that we take no more than 30% of your claim (legally, this can be up to 50%). If you do win a larger claim, then we won’t take the full 30% — we’ll just take what we need to cover our professional fees.

And we win more

Our compensation lawyers work hard to win you more compensation. In bigger law firms, there’s an approach that’s often referred to as “settle low to bring in the dough”. It’s where lawyers will rush claims to get more and more clients through the door. This results in more claims being settled for a lower amount. We’re the opposite. We take on fewer cases and take the time to get it right. We take the extra time to get the right evidence, allow injuries to settle, and get all the information to claim more for you. This way, you walk away with compensation that actually compensates you for your injuries.
